Kapas Island or Pulau Kapas is an island located about 6 kilometers east of Marang Terengganu,Malaysia with a smaller island, Pulau Gemia, located north of it.Its name, Pulau Kapas refers to the island's white beaches. You can snorkeling just in front of the resort and see a lot of coral fish, especially if you go a bit further out. Else you could walk to the beach close to Gem island where snorkling is even more beautiful. Or take a kayak and peddle to the other beach. The food at the resort is delicious.Other reviews say the food is very expensive, but considering what you get, the food is very reasonable priced. e.g. big BBQ buffet RM45, many other mains RM30-35. Fresh juice  RM6-8. You can walk to other resorts on the other beaches. It only takes 1 minute to climb the stairs and an other minute to go down the stairs on the other side.
